What They Accomplished
Overall
This summer, the marketing interns at Jellypop and Evolution Design Lab played a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s digital marketing efforts. The interns developed creative strategies, tracked campaign performance metrics, and provided insights that informed Jellypop’s digital marketing tactics, resulting in increased brand visibility and customer engagement across Jellypop’s e-commerce website and email campaigns. Their creative content ideas and digital design generated significant views and engagements, boosting the company's online presence, brand awareness, and brand identity.
Paid Media Campaigns
The interns effectively collaborated with ad managers to execute and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads, achieving remarkable results. They set up, analyzed, and optimized Meta and TikTok paid media campaigns. Their efforts led to significant achievements, reaching a significant amount of users through Meta and TikTok awareness-based ad campaigns in under two months. Moreover, the interns took charge of creating, managing, and analyzing multiple Google Ads campaigns. They verified the Google Ads account, created the first Jellypop Ad Group under the Sales campaign, and updated campaigns focused on affordability and comfort. The interns largely increased our impressions ROAS to well above the industry standard.
Emails
They managed multiple email campaigns, including creating, generating graphics, scheduling, and sending for different promotions and events including the 4th of July Giveaway, Pop-Up Shop, and Pilates Event. This comprehensive experience has been invaluable in enhancing their marketing skills and contributing to Jellypop's overall success.
Website
Additionally, they helped manage and update the website throughout the summer, spearheading projects such as mobile website optimization, SEO implementation, and overall redesign. They also created new pages on the website to promote Jellypop’s sales and events, making the website a useful marketing tool as well as a digital marketplace. Throughout these projects, they learned the basics of coding languages HTML and CSS, using them to fix bugs and add features to the website.
Content
The interns also gained valuable experience in creating visually appealing marketing materials that resonate with the target audience, using data-driven insights to refine their approach. They learned to analyze engagement metrics and audience behavior, which allowed them to tailor their content more effectively. This hands-on experience not only improved their technical skills in video production and graphic design but also deepened their understanding of strategic content creation. By continually assessing and adjusting their strategies based on real-time feedback, they were able to significantly boost Jellypop's online presence and foster a stronger connection with the brand's audience.
Pop-Up
Additionally, the interns organized a Pop-Up Sample Sale in collaboration with PlayLab Beauty, a Korean skincare and makeup store based in Old Town Pasadena. This event provided the interns with comprehensive experience in managing a business event from start to finish, including research, strategy planning, marketing, and execution. Their efforts significantly increased brand awareness and resulted in the sale of over pairs of shoes, showcasing their ability to drive successful business outcomes.
